SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
This bill establishes the McKinley County Graduate Center at the University of New Mexico Gallup Branch campus. Upper division and graduates courses will be contracted out to existing programs in post-secondary educational institutions. Governance of the Center will reside with the UNM Gallup Branch local advisory board. Appropriations for instructional support shall be made directly to the Center.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
This bill does not contain an appropriation. Funding generated for the McKinley County Graduate Center would be a recurring expense to the general fund. As it is unclear whether funding for the Center would fall under the higher education instruction and general funding formula or the extended services formula, the fiscal impact is unknown.
