SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number _______ to SENATE BILL 1

Amendment sponsored by Senator Manny M. Aragon

1. On page 132, between lines 23 and 24, insert the following new section:

"Section 100. INDIAN AFFAIRS--GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal years 1999 through 2003 to plan, design and construct additional facilities at the Indian pueblo cultural center in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.".

2. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.
