SUMMARY
Synopsis of SCONC Amendment
The Senate Conservation Committee amendment to Senate Memorial 13 adds the commissioner of public lands to the list of officials receiving copies of the memorial.
Synopsis of Bill
SM13 expresses support for the United States Department of the Interior/Bureau of Land Management's proposed standard for factoring human dimensions in livestock grazing management decisions.
The Human Dimensions Standard considers economic, cultural, historical and social welfare aspects of permittees, lessees and their communities. This standard will allow the Bureau of Land Management to consider the human dimension as important as endangered species and water quality.
