SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

This bill would appropriate the Executive Budget Recommendation for Fiscal Year 2000 by agency category, with standard sections for definitions, general provisions, compensation increases, special appropriations, supplemental and deficiency appropriations, and computer system enhancement fund. Appropriations would be made to the risk reserve fund and risk management fund and general fund operating reserve. Transfer authority language is included.

Significant Issues

The presentation of the FY2000 budget in this bill does not require category transfer authority. The Department of Finance and Administration would exercise discretion to allocate funds among state agencies located within the same agency category.
