SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
The bill appropriates $550.0 from the general fund to the State Department of Education for expenditure in FY 2000 for the purpose of increasing and expanding school-based human services to school children and families in the fourteen school areas of the Rio Grande High School cluster collaborative in Bernalillo County.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 reverts to the GF.
Significant Issues
The Rio Grande High School cluster area is notably economically depressed and the children and their families would benefit from school-based human services .
