SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 414 appropriates $1,200.0 from the general fund to the Department of Environment for the purpose of employing additional inspectors to conduct on-site liquid waste disposal inspections. The funds are also for training and equipment for the new and existing inspecting force.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
This bill appropriates $1,200.0 from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2000. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 will revert to the general fund.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
Passage of the bill will result in the agency requiring 12 to 18 additional FTE, which will have to be trained and equipped.
