SUMMARY



Synopsis of Bill



This bill appropriates two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) from the general fund to the children youth and families department for a pilot program in Alamogordo, Farmington, and Shiprock. The program provides counseling for child victims of domestic violence including anger management, trauma resolution and other interventions.



House Bill 2 and Senate Bill 2 both have six-hundred fifty thousand dollars ($650,000) appropriated for the enhancement of domestic violence programs statewide.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



This bill will have a non-recurring negative impact on the general fund of two-hundred thousand dollars ($200,000). Any unexpended or unencumbered balances shall revert to the general fund.



ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS



This program is currently monitored by the children youth and families department.
