SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
This bill appropriates $350.0 to the Board of Regents of the Western New Mexico University for the purpose of funding child development center recurring program needs.
Significant Issues
According to the CHE, the funding proposed in this bill ranked 3rd of eight special project requests. It would allow the continuation of a pilot program which began during FY99, extending program hours and days of operation.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $350.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund for expenditure in fiscal years 1999 and 2000. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY00 shall revert to the general fund.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
According to the CHE, the project request will add a combined 9.5 FTE
