SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 91 appropriates $1,000.0 to the Children, Youth and Families Department for statewide domestic violence services.
Significant Issues
The appropriation will be used to provide emergency shelter, food, clothing, adult and children's counseling, family counseling, crisis call response, parenting classes and support groups.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill appropriates $1,000.0 from the general fund and any unexpended or unencumbered balances shall revert. The appropriation would enhance programs currently funded in the LFC and Executive budget recommendations.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
The department already administers programs dealing with domestic violence and any administrative impact would be minimal.
