The bill appropriates the funds to the Department of Environment to initiate the Rivers Information System.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



The bill appropriates $150.0 from the general fund to the Department of Environment for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 and 2001. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 will revert to the general fund.



ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS



With the additional funds, the Department of Environment should be able to absorb the additional administrative functions within their capacity.
