SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 617 appropriates $100.0 to SDE for the purpose of acquiring computer hardware and software to implement a student data collection system in the Santa Fe Public School District.
Significant Issues
During the 1999-2000 school year, all school must submit data electronically within 5 days of their 40th day and December 1 for funding purposes.
According to SDE, the purpose of the Accountability Data System is to meet federal and state data collection requirements.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
House Bill 617 appropriates $100.0 to SDE for expenditure in fiscal year 2000. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
