SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 616 would require that interest be paid on Indian gaming revenue sharing payments that are delinquent by more than 30 days. The interest owed would be calculated by using the rate used by the federal government's internal revenue service. This rate would be applied against delinquent payment after the thirty first day until it is paid.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The fiscal impacts of the proposed changes are indeterminate because it is not known how the proposed changes would affect the noncompliance with the revenue sharing agreements.
