SUMMARY

Synopsis of HBIC Amendment

The House Business and Industry Committee (HBIC) amendment simply adds an emergency clause to House Bill 518.

Synopsis of Bill

House Bill 518 would reduce the annual license fee for a club license by $1000 from $1250 to $250.

Significant Issues

Currently, the state of New Mexico has 175 club license renewals. The revenue from these license fees is deposited into the general fund. Therefore, the general fund would lose $175.0, annually.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

House Bill 518 does not contain an appropriation. Because the bill would decrease the fee by $1000, the general fund would be reduced by $175.0.
