Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 313 creates a new section of the criminal code and creates a penalty for the crime of fleeing an officer. Any person convicted of committing this crime is guilty of a fourth degree felony.



Significant Issues



The current penalty for evading or fleeing an officer is a misdemeanor.
