The House Business and Industry Committee amendment adds an emergency clause allowing the bill to take effect immediately.



Synopsis of Bill



The bill would allow the State Racing Commission to permit simulcasting of races being run at New Mexico racetracks to out-of-state locations other than racetracks, including sites holding a parimutuel or gaming license.



Significant Issues



This bill could increase revenues to New Mexico racetracks.
