Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 57 adds a section to the criminal code that would prohibit persons serving parole or probation for sexual offenses from residing within 4,800 feet of a school, daycare center, community center or facility that provides services to minors.



Significant Issues



Enactment of this bill would make the violation a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for less than a year, a fine of less than $1,000.0, or both.
