SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 13 appropriates $200,000 from the general fund to the New Mexico Office of Indian Affairs for contracting for youth programs that provide counseling, education, support and recreation services in Shiprock, New Mexico.
Significant Issues
The Office of Indian Affairs did not respond to questions relative to the number of youth to be served by the contracted services or the age population to be served in the Shiprock area.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The Office of Indian Affairs would contract the services to a provider in the Shiprock area. There would be minimal impact to OIA.
