REQUESTED BY

FOR EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR STUDENT ACCESS

TO TECHNOLOGY-ENHANCED CURRICULA IN CLASSROOMS STATEWIDE.

I request that the following capital outlay project be funded:

• to the state department of public education

three million two hundred forty thousand dollars ($3,240,000) to purchase and install educational technology in the public schools for student access to technology-enhanced curricula in the classroom. The state department of public education and the New Mexico council on technology in education will develop funding criteria based on the number of computers per classroom and the percentage of classrooms connected to the internet.
