STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR THE CITY OF SOCORRO IN SOCORRO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

three hundred twenty-nine thousand dollars ($329,000) for drainage improvements along the city's primary arterial California street in the city of Socorro in Socorro county; and

one hundred seventy thousand dollars ($170,000) to continue repaving improvements to thirty-five miles of city streets in Socorro in Socorro county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to design and construct an animal shelter in Socorro in Socorro county; and

• to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology

two million eight hundred thousand dollars ($2,800,000) to plan, design and construct improvements to the Cramer and Weir halls at the New Mexico institute of mining and technology in Socorro in Socorro county.
