44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SILVER CITY IN GRANT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

six hundred fifty thousand dollars ($650,000) to design, construct and inspect water and wastewater system improvements, including acquisition of a water well, in Silver City in Grant county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to surface and improve Little Walnut road in Silver City in Grant county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to construct, design, equip and furnish Grant county community-built park in Silver City in Grant county;

one hundred seven thousand dollars ($107,000) to renovate and furnish the old armory recreation center in Silver City in Grant county;

five hundred forty thousand dollars ($540,000) to renovate and improve the swimming pool in Silver City in Grant county; and

one hundred seventy-four thousand dollars ($174,000) to acquire a fire tanker and improve the fire training center in Silver City in Grant county.
