44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT THE PUEBLO OF JEMEZ IN SANDOVAL COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) for phase I construction of a multipurpose building for the senior citizens of the pueblo of Jemez in Sandoval county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) to plan and design the realignment project for New Mexico highway 4, which runs directly through the pueblo of Jemez in Sandoval county; and

• to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to plan, design and construct nature trails, access roads, parking, lighting, kiosks and signage for the new Walatowa center at the pueblo of Jemez in Sandoval county;

twenty-six thousand one hundred thirty dollars ($26,130) to equip and furnish the youth center at the pueblo of Jemez in Sandoval county; and

two hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($225,000) to plan, design and construct an addition to the community library at the pueblo of Jemez in Sandoval county.
