44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF CARLSBAD IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to design, construct and inspect wastewater system improvements for Carlsbad municipal golf course reuse in Eddy county; and

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to continue with phase III improvements of the Lake Carlsbad erosion control project in Carlsbad in Eddy county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to repair, construct improvements to and renovate Pecos River Village conference center facilities in Carlsbad in Eddy county;

thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to purchase and install furnishings and equipment for Carlsbad public library in Eddy county;

thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) to improve flooring at Carlsbad museum and art center in Carlsbad in Eddy county;

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to construct park shelters at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Riverview park in Carlsbad in Eddy county; and

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) to purchase portable bleachers in Carlsbad in Eddy county; and

• to the state department of public education

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to construct and equip a science greenhouse at Carlsbad high school in Carlsbad in Eddy county.
