FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the property control division of the general services department

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate and make improvements to the Fort Bayard medical center located in Grant county;

five hundred ninety thousand dollars ($590,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate, make improvements to and equip the dining and kitchen facilities and other facilities at the New Mexico rehabilitation center located in Chaves county;

fifty-five thousand dollars ($55,000) from the public buildings repair fund to plan, design and install a nurse call bell system at the New Mexico veterans' center located in Sierra county;

one hundred eighty thousand dollars ($180,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate and make improvements to the Harriet Sammons building in Farmington located in San Juan county;

two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate and make improvements to the Louise Brown building in Bernalillo located in Sandoval county;

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate and make improvements to the human services department commodities warehouse in Albuquerque located in Bernalillo county;

two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate and make improvements to the Epi Duran building located in San Miguel county;

two million two hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($2,265,000) from the public buildings repair fund to renovate and make improvements to state facilities located throughout the state;

seven hundred fourteen thousand dollars ($714,000) for parking improvements and other paving at the department of public safety headquarters complex located in Santa Fe county;

three hundred ninety thousand dollars ($390,000) to resurface and make improvements to the driving track at the law enforcement training academy in Santa Fe county;



three hundred forty thousand dollars ($340,000) to plan, design, construct, furnish and equip a special management unit at the Sequoyah adolescent treatment center located in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

nine hundred fifty thousand dollars ($950,000) to renovate and make improvements to the Albuquerque training center for the commission for the blind located in Bernalillo county;

three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) to demolish, make selective improvements to or secure facilities located throughout the state, including the main penitentiary facility located in Santa Fe county; and

two million dollars ($2,000,000) to the public buildings repair fund for various capital projects throughout the state.
