STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN LUNA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to continue construction of the senior center in Deming in Luna county;

• to the department of environment

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design and construct a city-county landfill to replace the existing one in Luna county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to reconstruct J street and Raymond Reed road and install lighting in Luna county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase a class "A" pumper truck and other related equipment for the county fire department in Luna county;

• to the historic preservation division of the office of cultural affairs

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for purchase of a Black Jack historical exhibit in Pancho Villa state park in Luna county; and

• to the museum division of the office of cultural affairs

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to plan, design and construct a museum at the Pancho Villa state park in Luna county.
