STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SIERRA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for road improvements and low water crossing on highway 142 intersecting at Placitas in Monticello in Sierra county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for renovations, upgrade of the electrical and communication systems, an architectural study and a Vietnam memorial for the administration building in Sierra county;

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to renovate and upgrade the communications system at the county courthouse to comply with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 in Sierra county;

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to provide handicapped parking and aisle access at the fair barn and show area at the county fairgrounds in Sierra county; and

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to pave the parking area and designate handicapped parking and make improvements to the village hall to meet the requirements of the Americans with

Disabilities Act of 1990 in Williamsburg in Sierra county.
