HOUSE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 405

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN DE BACA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state highway and transportation department

two hundred forty-seven thousand dollars ($247,000) for paving and street improvements for the Hill street project in Fort Sumner in De Baca county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase heavy equipment to be used at the landfill in De Baca county;

ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) to plan, design, construct or acquire fire substations for the valley fire department in De Baca county; and

one hundred forty thousand dollars ($140,000) to upgrade the county sheriff's department and courthouse in De Baca county;

• to the office of cultural affairs

one million one hundred thousand dollars ($1,100,000) to construct, equip and provide site development, new parking and landscaping for facilities at the Bosque Redondo memorial museum in Fort Sumner in De Baca county; and

• to the state department of public education

fifty-four thousand one hundred ninety-nine dollars ($54,199) to purchase and install communication and alarm systems at Fort Sumner municipal schools in De Baca county.
