44TH LEGISLATURE - FIRST SESSION - 1999

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN OTERO COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to upgrade the Oro Grande water system in Otero county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to construct a new railroad crossing at United States highway 54 in Otero county;

three hundred ninety-three thousand five hundred twenty-five dollars ($393,525) to construct drainage culverts to convey flood waters from the La Luz and Laborcita canyons under Riata road in Otero county; and

one million dollars ($1,000,000) to construct Alamagordo relief route connectors in Otero county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) to plan, design and construct a multiple use judicial complex in Otero county;

four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) to plan, design and construct a road shop facility in Otero county; and

one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to plan, design and construct a juvenile detention center in Otero county.
