AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NEIGHBORHOOD CITIZENSHIP PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the secretary of state's office for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 through 2003 to provide neighborhood citizenship programs in Albuquerque on the electoral process and citizen participation in government. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the general fund.
