MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY THE NEEDS OF COMMUNITY DOMESTIC WATER ASSOCIATIONS IN RIO ARRIBA AND SANDOVAL COUNTIES AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO AN APPROPRIATE LEGISLATIVE INTERIM COMMITTEE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to complete an infrastructure needs assessment of community domestic water associations in Sandoval and Rio Arriba counties and report to the appropriate legislative interim committee no later than October 2000 with infrastructure capital priorities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
