MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE ENGINEER FOR FUNDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ESTANCIA WATER BASIN PLAN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred seventy-nine thousand dollars ($979,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding the implementation of the Estancia water basin plan. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
