AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO UPDATE AND EXPAND A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR RUNOFF CONTAINMENT NEAR TULAROSA.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of updating and expanding a feasibility study for containing runoff from several canyons in the Tularosa area in Otero county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
