AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT TO PROVIDE FOR CHILD- SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT SERVICES FOR THE NAVAJO NATION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting with the Navajo nation for provision of child-support enforcement services. This appropriation is to be matched by federal funds of twice the state's investment in child-support enforcement services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
