AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR COUNTY MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH COUNCILS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million six hundred thousand dollars ($1,600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of increasing the program services of the county maternal and child health councils. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
