MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING A DEBT OWED TO SAN MIGUEL COUNTY FOR THE HOUSING OF PRISONERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of paying a debt owed by Mora county to San Miguel county for the housing of prisoners in the San Miguel county jail. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
