MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE STATE'S DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED POPULATION NOT CURRENTLY RECEIVING SERVICES DUE TO INSUFFICIENT FUNDING.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-two million dollars ($22,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of providing services for persons eligible and in need of services for the developmentally disabled. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
