AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROVIDE SPECIALIZED LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES IN RIO ARRIBA AND SANTA FE COUNTIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to provide coordinated law enforcement action to combat increased drug and criminal activity in northern Santa Fe county and southern and central Rio Arriba county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
