AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NAVAJO NATION VETERANS HOUSING TRUST FUND FOR HOUSING INDIGENT NAVAJO VETERANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of housing indigent Navajo nation veterans through the Navajo nation veterans housing trust fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
