AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of providing maternal and child health services statewide pursuant to the provisions of the County Maternal and Child Health Plan Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
