AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR INITIATING THE NEW MEXICO RIVERS INFORMATION SYSTEM AND CONDUCTING THE RIVERS INVENTORY AND ASSESSMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 and 2001 for the purpose of initiating the New Mexico rivers information system. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
