SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number _______ to SENATE BILL 54

Amendment sponsored by Senator Manny M. Aragon

1. On page 1, line 11, after the semicolon strike the remainder of the line, strike line 12 through "TO" and insert in lieu thereof "ESTABLISHING RESPONSIBILITY OF".

2. On page 1, strike all of line 14.

3. On page 2, line 24, insert after the period:

"The director of the financial control division may request, and the agency shall provide, such documentation and other information deemed necessary to justify the agency's determination. The director may disapprove the proposed expenditure if the director determines that the justification, in his judgment, is inadequate or fails to justify the determination.".

4. On page 4, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new subsection:

"B. The director of the financial control division may request, and the agency shall provide, such documentation and other information deemed necessary to justify the agency's determination. The director may disapprove the proposed expenditure if the director determines that the justification, in his judgment, is inadequate or fails to justify the determination.".

5. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
