AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR CERTAIN ADULTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($1,250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting for services and programs for persons who do not meet the medicaid medical eligibility criteria or who need services not provided by medicaid or other state funded programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
