MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION TO CONTRACT FOR THE PROVISION OF STATEWIDE VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting for the provision of statewide vocational programs for students, including business education programs, marketing programs, agricultural education programs, family and consumer sciences programs, trades and industry programs and technology education programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
