AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR BULLETPROOF VESTS FOR THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IN TORRANCE COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-one thousand four hundred dollars ($21,400) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of purchasing bulletproof vests for the Torrance county sheriff's office in McIntosh. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
