MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY TO EXPAND THE INSTRUCTIONAL TELEVISION MICROWAVE SYSTEM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred eighty thousand dollars ($180,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of eastern New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of expanding the instructional television microwave system by extending three-channel microwave programming to Artesia and providing upper division and graduate level courses to residents in that community. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
