MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PRODUCE AND CONDUCT THE HONORABLE STEVE HERRERA MEMORIAL SEMINAR ON ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of producing and conducting the Honorable Steve Herrera memorial seminar on alternative dispute resolution. The seminar shall be produced and conducted by the Rozier E. Sanchez judicial education center of the institute of public law of the university of New Mexico college of law. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
