MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR STAFF IN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS' OFFICES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the administrative office of the district attorneys for expenditure in fiscal years 2000 and 2001 to provide additional liability insurance coverage to staff in district attorneys' offices. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
