AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO IMPROVE RETENTION SUCCESS RATES OF COLLEGE STUDENTS FROM DULCE IN RIO ARRIBA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting to provide support services to improve the success rate of students from Dulce entering or enrolled in college in Rio Arriba county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
