AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A REIMBURSEMENT RATE INCREASE FOR ALL CHILD-CARE PROVIDERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five million nine hundred thousand dollars ($5,900,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of funding an increase in reimbursement rates for all child-care providers in the state in accordance with the market rate survey. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
