MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE FOR THE ELEVENTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT, DIVISION 2, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAYING AN EMERGENCY LOAN FROM THE STATE BOARD OF FINANCE, CONVENING A SPECIAL GRAND JURY AND CONTRACTING FOR THE SERVICES OF A SPECIAL PROSECUTOR.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the district attorneys office for the eleventh judicial district, division 2, for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 and subsequent fiscal years for the purpose of repaying an emergency loan to the state board of finance, convening a special grand jury and contracting for the services of a special prosecutor. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall not revert to the general fund.
