MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE TREATMENT PROGRAMS FOR CERTAIN CHILDREN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 to provide treatment programs through rape crisis centers in Taos, Farmington, Las Cruces, Albuquerque and Santa Fe for children who sexually molest other children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
